Re: The Reconstruction
of 6th Street SE. Bridge at Bear Creek
On Monday updated April 13, 2015 reconstruction work of the 6th Street SE Bridge at Bear Creek will begin. The bridge will be removed and reconstructed. 6th Street SE will be closed to all though traffic, vehicles and pedestrians, between 8th Avenue SE and 10th Avenue SE. Additionally 9th Avenue SE will also be closed between to all though traffic, vehicles and pedestrians, between 6th Street SE and 7th Street SE. Local access to the driveways and sidewalks to the homes in this area of street closure will be maintained. No detour will be signed; however, advanced warning signs will be place to allow vehicle to select alternative routes.
The Bear Creek trail will also be closed in the area of 6th Street SE. Detour for trail users will be signed.
Work includes the reconstruction of the bridge and the bridge approaches. The bridge will be removed and will not be available to cross Bear Creek until completed.
Work is expected to be completed approximately August 25, 2015.
